Santan Sangha was established in the year 1962 during the period of Chinese attack on the North Eastern parts of India. The Chinese insurgents entered Assam and the other states through Arunachal Pradesh. It was then the young men of Digboi assembled and decided to organize a worship of Goddess Kali, the Hindu goddess of power and courage, with the intention of seeking her blessings. Thus, as a result of such a collective initiative, this temple PUJA has its origin. It is also a fact that the young people who took up this enterprise actually offered their blood to the goddess and resolved to either drive the Chinese Army out of their country or sacrifice their lives for their motherland in the attempt.
ON 6th APRIL EVERY YEAR, SANTAN SANGHA WILL BE CELEBRATING THE PRATISTHAN DIVAS OF SRI SRI MAA AVOYESWARY DEVI ( SRI SRI MAA KALI) AT OUR MANDIR PREMISES. IN THIS REGARD YOUR CONTRIBUTION HOWEVER

The organization was registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 (Reg. No. TSK/244/B/03), marking the beginning of a dedicated journey of service.
